F I E L D

F I E L D is a hackable synthesizer comprising two major circuits, an Atari Punk Console (APC) and a Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO) to produce various sweeping signals.

Both can be connected to various sensing components in addition to the on-board CdS photoresistor, which allows for infinite experimentation.

Hack It!

The original inspiration was based on the book, The Field Guide to Hacking, where it existed as a 50x50mm PCB embedded within the book sleeve. The input was not only a light-resistor, but as well, two embedded sheets on copper on the reverse-side. By drawing between the two sheets of copper, the circuit is connected, and thus, the sound is manipulated!

The extra soldering pads on the edge of the PCB allow for a multitude of changes--pervert it any way you like!
